Simple Starter Disable Switch
With this circuit we are cutting the factory starter wire and routing the wire through the relay. The purpose of this is to prevent voltage from going to the starter motor when the switch is engaged. Since we are using a relay to handle the high current demands, we are free to use a small microswitch that can easily be hidden. Note that "true" ignition indicates that we desire a wire that will not drop voltage as the car is cranking. Accessory wires will drop voltage as the car is being started and will result in the relay not operating correctly. |
